This piece, titled "Home" was created for KS Wild's Annual Rund Raising Gala in 2020. KS Wild works to protect and restore wild nature in the Klamath-Siskiyou region of Southwest Oregon & northwest California.
 
In 2021 Home won the Judges Choice award for art that inspires activism at the Wild and Scenic Film Festival.

This Towhee nest was discovered during our spring 100ft fire preparedness brush trimming. Once I found it I immediately left the site alone for a week. Unfortunately my trimming left the nest quite exposed and when I checked on the site a week later I discovered the eggs cracked and compromised. So it is with some sadness and shame that I created this piece. I think it’s important though to talk about the real impact when we assume our actions are benign.
