“What I like to do is try to make a difference with the work I do.” David Bowie
This Piece was made in collaboration with Vesper Meadow for the Southern Oregon Bumble Bee Field Guide.
Fine Art Photography Materials: Bumble Bee, Deltoid Balsamroot Flowers, Seeds, Wild Strawberry
In the summer months this alpine meadow puts on a festival of color. The wild flowers here are so rich and bright it almost hurts your eyes to look at them. And where there are flowers there follows a parade of pollinators, butterflies and bees of all kinds and colors. This arrangement features the bright yellow balsamroot flower, a perential from the sunflower family, with a bumblebee nestled in its petals. The wild strawberries are tiny but if you are ever lucky enough to find one, they burst with the flavors of sweet sunshine.
